Mass production and quality assurance of tomatoes necessitate efficient propagation methods that align with environmental conditions and market demands. This research was conducted in the hydroponic greenhouse of Sabz Dasht Seydan Company with the objective of investigating the growth, quantitative, and qualitative traits of seedling, grafted, and cutting-propagated tomato plants trained as single and double stems. The results demonstrated significant differences among the propagation methods (seedling, cutting, and grafting) and training systems (single and double stem) for plant height, apical stem growth and diameter, number of fruits, average fruit weight, fruit length and diameter, number of inflorescences per plant, fruit yield per plant, fruit color, acidity, total soluble solids, and fruit firmness. Weekly measurements of apical growth and stem diameter revealed that grafted plants, followed by double-stem cutting-propagated plants, exhibited greater apical growth and stem diameter compared to seedling plants. Seedling and then grafted plants had a higher number of inflorescences per plant than cutting-propagated plants. At the first harvest, fruit weight was greater in double-stem cutting- and grafted-propagated plants compared to double-stem seedling plants. Fruit weight in double-stem grafted plants was more than 1.5 times that of single-stem grafted plants. The yield per plant was higher in the double-stem training system than in the single-stem system. The highest yield was observed in the cutting propagation method with a double-stem training system, measuring 3465.7 grams, followed by the grafting method with a double-stem training system, which yielded 3214.4 grams. Therefore, grafted and cutting-propagated plants showed superiority over seedling plants in the investigated traits.
